In-House Testing of Slab Grab Edge Protection According To Canada Regulation 213/91

On October 14, 2020, we just launched in-house testing for our Slab Grab Edge Protection System according to Ontario Regulation 213/91 Construction Projects Requirements.

According to the Ontario Regulation 213/91 Construction Projects Requirements. The Top Rail should withstand A point load of 450 newtons applied in a vertically downward direction to the top rail. Please check the below picture, we applied a 900 newtons force and the edge protection mesh panel has no obvious deflection.

• A point load of 900N (#450N required) applied vertically downward to the top rail

According to the ONTARIO REGULATION 213/91 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS REQUIREMENTS, The Top Rail should withstand A point load of 675 newtons applied in a lateral direction to the top rail. Please check the below picture, we applied a 1000 newtons force and the edge protection mesh panel has very little deflection.

• A point load of 1,000N (#675N required)applied to the top rail in a laterally downward direction

According to the ONTARIO REGULATION 213/91 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS REQUIREMENTS, The Mid-Rail (intermediate Rail) should withstand A point load of 450 newtons applied in a lateral or vertical downward direction to the intermediate rail, or midway between the top rail and the toe board. Please check the below picture, we applied an 860 newtons force to a lateral direction and the edge protection mesh panel has very small deflections.

• A point load of 860 newtons (#450N required) applied to the mid-rail in a lateral direction

According to the ONTARIO REGULATION 213/91 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS REQUIREMENTS, The toe board should withstand A point load of 225 newtons applied in a lateral direction to the toe board. Please check the below picture, we applied a 400 newtons force to a lateral direction and the edge protection mesh panel has very few deflections.

• A point load of 400 newtons (#225N required) applied laterally to the toe board
