Last Sunday, October 15, 2019, APAC established an in-house test for one type of our edge protection systems – Parapet Guardrail systems to declare if our edge protection systems conform to Australian standard AS/NZS 4994.1, the result shows our system completely conforms to this standard.
1. Test condition:
(a) A pendulum head mass of 60kg, comprising a rubber-faced steel block of nominal dimensions 300mm x 300mm, shall be used to apply the impact force;
(b) The test apparatus shall be configured to enable the steel block to travel through an elevated test height of not less than 1000mm, see below test setup drawing;
(c) The test impact shall be applied at the midpoint of the span of the bottom rail;
2. Acceptance Criteria:
(a) Under test, the deflection of the bottom rail shall not reach 201mm, measured horizontally;
(b) No component of the tested assembly shall become detached;
(c) No part of the tested assembly shall suffer structural failure.
3. Test Result:
After the Parapet Guardrail System has been impacted by a 60 kg object falling 1m from a height, no components of the guardrail system were detached, no structural damage to any part of the components. The deflection of the bottom rail is less than 201mm.
According to the test results, APAC Parapet Guardrail Systems conform to the Australian Standard AS/NZS 4994.1 Temporary edge protection.
APAC Edge Protection systems and Guardrail Systems can be installed in the slab edge of the high-rise building, to protect the workers or objects that fall from height.
The Slab Guardrail systems already supply to the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc, Fast install, are lightweight, have special latch lock devices, and have Retractable levers, no need to cut the different lengths of steel pipe. Factory direct, highly cost-effective.
